尽管Struts2号称是一个全新的结构,但这仅仅是相对Struts1而言。Struts2与Struts1比较,的确有很多革命性的改善,但它并不是新发布的新结构,而是在另一个大名鼎鼎的结构:WebWork基础上发展起来的。从某种程度上来讲,Struts2没有承继Struts1的血缘,而是承继WebWork的血缘。或者说,WebWork衍生出了Struts2,而不是Struts1衍生了Struts2。由于Struts2是WebWork的升级,而不是一个全新的结构,因而稳定性、功能等各方面都有很好的确保:并且吸收了Struts1和WebWork两者的优势,因而,是一个十分值得等待的结构。

(Although Struts2 claims to be a brand new structure, this is only relative to Struts1. Compared with Struts1, Struts2 does have many revolutionary improvements, but it is not a newly released new structure, but developed on the basis of another well-known structure: WebWork. To some extent, Struts2 does not inherit the blood of Struts1, but inherits the blood of WebWork. In other words, WebWork derived Struts2, not Struts1 derived Struts2. Since Struts2 is an upgrade of WebWork, rather than a brand-new structure, the stability, functions and other aspects are well ensured; and it absorbs the advantages of both Struts1 and WebWork, so it is a structure worth waiting for.
